Medical Couriers Dallas: Safety Week

Driving is no carefree task. We talk about that a lot: driving is dangerous. It’s good to be reminded of that fact since it is easy to get in the swing of things and forget that you’re operating a machine. For example, our Dallas route couriers can’t get into too much a routine. They can never get too comfortable in their route. Getting comfortable means getting lazy and getting lazy can mean getting into wrecks. We always caution our drivers to be alert, ready for anything on the road. Our healthcare couriers DFW know that if they don’t watch the road and stay alert, they will end up in the same hospitals they deliver for!
Safety is our number one priority at Eagle Express. Not only do we value your deliveries (whether it’s a bank deposit or a large piece of furniture), we also value our personal safety and others’ safety. On the road, you’re not only looking our for yourself, but you’re also looking out for the mom driving her child to school, the dad picking up groceries for his kid, the grandma bringing a lasagna to her grandson in college. Safety matters.
That’s why we are excited to promote the National Teen Driver Safety Week. It started yesterday and goes through the end of the week. It is always the third week of October. As (the best) of all courier companies in Dallas, we have drivers of all life stages. Some of itty bitty children and some have grown children. For those of our drivers who have teens, they know how important driver safety is. And it isn’t just the teens who need to be safe. We all need to up our safety level at any chance.
So in honor of our medical couriers Dallas, we salute National Teen Driver Safety Week. Here are a few helpful facts to keep in mind as you teach your teen (or yourself) about the truth of driving:
- The week was established in 2007 to highlight the staggering number of teen driving deaths and injuries.
- There are three main reasons teens get in wrecks (I would venture to guess the same goes for adults – so, pay attention!)
- Inattention, which could mean texting, playing with the radio or focusing on passengers
- Failure to reduce speed
- Failure to yield
- Driving contracts between teens and their parents can be helpful in preventing wrecks.
- Night driving is significantly more dangerous than day-time driving.
Let’s all do our part to up the safety on our roads. Our healthcare couriers DFW demand it!
